Indonesia and World Culture

Since ancient times, Indonesia has been known as a region with diversity. Various ethnicities, various languages, and various cultures.

Just imagine, the number of ethnic groups in this country is more than 200 ethnic groups. If one ethnic group has only one culture, then the number is also more than 200 different cultures. So, it is not wrong if the jargon "

Culture Is World Culture" for our country

The existence of various ethnic groups that have fused over hundreds of years has resulted in additional cultural diversity, which is often unique, exotic, and alluring. The culture consists of the arts of words and literature, music, clothing, dance, painting, sculpture and so on.

Every time we move a little in the territory of Indonesia, we will find a different culture. For example, Aceh has a very different culture from that of its neighbor, North Sumatra. Shifting a little more, we will find a unique culture in Riau and West Sumatra.

Continue, shift will continue to find a different culture, until the end of Papua. If it is calculated, the right and left hands plus the right and left fingers will not be able to calculate the number of Indonesian cultures.

This fact is also recognized internationally. A number of indigenous Indonesian cultures have received status as world heritage that must be preserved. The UN agency, namely Unesco, recorded several cultural heritages as original Indonesian culture, such as wayang, angklung, and batik art.

The weapon of the masterpiece of the "old-fashioned" masters, namely the keris, was also recognized by the UN agency. Several other cultures, such as kebaya, woven cloth, and a number of dances, are also prepared to be recorded by Unesco.

Recognition is very important to preserve the culture. However, more importantly the recognition of our own society. For example, batik. Indonesians themselves must often use batik to stay sustainable. Or, angklung music. It is true that it has been recognized by the world, but its existence will quickly become extinct, if Indonesians do not want to play angklung.

In addition to maintaining sustainability, recognition by the nation itself can also be an appreciation of culture. It has often happened, the culture of this nation is even respected and used by other nations.

Malaysia repeatedly uses and even claims to be the owner of indigenous Indonesian cultures, such as angklung, Pendet dance, and a folk song.

A number of professors from leading universities in Brazil, England, and America, believe that Indonesia is the origin of human civilization. This means that this archipelago is the birthplace of various high-value cultures, which then spread throughout the world. The study of the origin of this civilization is now a hot topic of discussion among world scientists.

The scientists' studies are in line with the facts on the ground. In a number of locations historical relics were found thousands, even millions of years ago, such as ancient human skeletons.

The existence of temples, slates, statues, and other remains also strengthens the notion that Indonesia is the origin of world civilization and culture. However, of course, all kinds of allegations must be proven further.
